Hot spots in all main waiting areas at Zurich Airport permit direct access to the Internet. Access to airport-related web sites and to all flight plan information, train services and local bus service timetables is free of charge.
Capacity
With a transmission capacity of up to 54 Mbit/s, public wireless LAN ideally complements existing data communication options such as HSCSD and GPRS, but is significantly faster and also easier to use.
Many mobile phones and laptops are now equipped with an integrated wireless LAN receiver. Devices that do not have this feature can be connected using a separate standard wireless LAN card, which eliminates the complicated procedure of connecting a laptop to a mobile phone.
