Getting to the airport

By car

Disabled passengers and persons that transport them may use the following parking possibilities if they hold a parking permit for disabled persons. Such parking permits are issued by the cantonal authority for persons that prove a significant walking impairment by medical attestation. Besides, the permit can be issued for car keepers that verifiably transport persons with walking impairments on a regular basis.

Parking on the lane of the inner curbside

Holders of a parking card for people with reduced mobility can obtain a free electronic parking permit which allows them to access the inner curbside lane and pull over directly in front of the check-in- and arrival halls. Electronic parking permits may be requested by completing the application form available under "Access inner curbside”. This permit allows them to park within the inner curbside free of charge during 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the regular tariff will be due.

Parking at the outer curbside

People who hold a parking card for disabled persons but who have no electronic parking card for the inner curbside are allowed to use the short-term parking facilities on the outer curbside for more than the specified maximum of 15 minutes. With the parking permit for disabled persons, you may use the marked spaces for up to 6 hours longer than the specified limit of 15 minutes, charged at the standard fee of CHF2.-- for 15 minutes.

Both the blue parking disc and the parking card for disabled persons must be visibly displayed behind the front windscreen with set time of arrival.

Parking in multi-storey car parks P1, P2 and P3

In the multi-storey car parks P1, P2 and P3, specially designated parking spaces for persons with restricted mobility are located on the entry level in the immediate vicinity of the lifts. Fees are the same as for all other parking spaces.
