Departure / arrival

Getting well prepared from check-in to the aircraft, and from the aircraft to the arrivals hall.

Departure from Zurich Airport

After your arrival at the airport, you have two possibilities to demand the necessary assistance:

  • Either you report one hour prior to your flight's scheduled time of departure to the check-in counter of your airline. After you have checked-in your luggage, careport will pick you up and accompany you on your further way to the aircraft.

  • Or you report two hours prior to your flight's scheduled time of departure to one of the pick-up-points in check-in hall 1, 2 or 3. The pick-up-points are signed with the common pictographs and they are located near the terminal entrances. At the pick-up-point, careport staff will assist you or there will be a calling device for you to demand assistance. careport will then pick you up and accompany you on your further way to the aircraft.

Provided you announce your need of assistance as described on time to your travel agency or to your airline and if you arrive on time at the check-in counter or at one of the pick-up-points, you normally shall not wait more than 10 minutes for assistance. Under certain circumstances there may be slightly shorter or longer waiting times due to daily operations. However, if you have announced your demand as prescribed, it is guaranteed that you will reach your flight on time.

Should you have not been able to announce your demand on time or should you arrive late at check-in or at the pick-up-point, please note that careport will make all effort but can not guarantee that you reach your flight on time.

Porter service

On the railway station platforms and on the curbside roads there are signs that display the phone number to call for porter service. Porters provide charged services throughout the airport.

Alternatively, you have the possibility to announce your demand latest 48 hours to the scheduled departure of your return flight to Zurich to your travel agency or to your airline.

After landing in Zurich, you will either be either picked up directly at the aircraft seat or at the arrival gate, depending on your needs. Provided you have announced your demand as prescribed, you should wait no longer than 10 minutes for assistance. careport will accompany you on the way through customs, passport and security control and will assist you in receiving your luggage. After that, careport will accompany you to one of the drop-off-points and will bid you farewell. The drop-off-points are signed with the common pictographs and furnished with seating-accommodation. There you can meet with somebody to pick-you up or you can continue your way to the bus and train station or to the parking areas on handicapped accessible ways.
