The Terminal 2 upgrade comprises a series of alteration measures designed to improve passenger convenience and optimise operation. The project involves a revamp of the building services, structural elements and fire prevention systems, plus enhancements to the building's visual impact.
The investment costs for the overall project run to around CHF 200-230 million.

Document Terminal 2 upgrade
In connection with the planned "The Circle" development scheme, Zürich Flughafen AG has decided to relocate the parking spaces in the existing P5 and P40 buildings (which occupy the proposed site). This will increase the amount of commercial floorspace that can be accommodated on the Butzenbüel site while obviating the need for cost-intensive access provision.
