The SIAA was founded in Berne on 19 December 2000. Its goal is to preserve and promote the joint interests of Switzerland’s national airports. With this in mind, its priorities are the intensification of collaborative work and exchange of information, the utilisation of synergies, the protection of joint interests vis-à-vis customers, partners and authorities, and the fostering of relationships with national and international aviation organisations. German airport association ADV was founded in Stuttgart in 1947. ADV acts as a representative for airports in Germany. Zurich, Geneva and Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airports count among its associate members. ADV promotes Germany as a strong and competitive location for air traffic. In its role as the national umbrella organisation for the tourism industry, the Swiss Tourism Federation (STV) represents the interests of Switzerland Tourism and its service providers to the authorities and the political and public arenas.
