The "RADIO@ZRH Light" service provides a modern, digital version of the well-known Ramp Radio. The simplicity of the well-known Ramp Radio has been combined with the reliability of the digital radio infrastructure at Zurich Airport. The excellent radio coverage and reliability of the mobile radio network is used here – but the numerous, complex performance characteristics have mostly been omitted. By saving the licence costs of the mobile radio processor, we are able to design Ramp Radio as a financially attractive offer with interesting opportunities.
