Construction on the Oerlikon train station
At Zurich Oerlikon station construction work will be carried out on several weekends between 19 September 2014 and 22 February 2015. The related closure of individual tracks will result in some restrictions to or cancellations of rail services to and from Zurich Airport. This will affect the following trains:
• InterRegio train between Lucerne and Zurich Airport, and S2, S8 and S14 services
You can find details in the PDF document at the right "Restrictions to rail services " or online at www.sbb.ch and www.zvv.ch.
Zurich Airport is located right at the centre of Europe and in the heart of Switzerland. Thanks to its excellent public transport links, it can be reached quickly and easily from everywhere.
With around 350 train, 700 bus and 400 tram connections a day, Zurich Airport is one of the most easily accessible places in Switzerland. Zurich city centre is just ten minutes away, and all the major cities and tourist areas, both in Switzerland and in neighbouring countries, can be reached very quickly.
So no matter where you are going, you can reach your destination quickly and easily using national and regional trains plus local tram and bus services. The train, bus and tram stops are all integrated in the airport complex so there are only short distances to walk to the check-in and departure areas.
The SBB travel centre is located below the Airport Center in the Check-in 3 area. The ticket counters are open from 06:15 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Arriving passengers can purchase tickets from the machines in customs halls 1 and 2. There are also more ticket machines directly next to the SBB travel centre.
