Children's birthday party –an unforgettable celebration

Treat your child to a very special birthday party – at Zurich Airport. The birthday boy or girl and their friends will visit exciting attractions within the airport and celebrate in the airport's own party room. Of course, birthdays at the airport also include a cake and other treats.

The adventure starts at Arrival 2. One tour guide and a member of the Family Services team will accompany the children through the security check directly to the observation deck, where they can discover the airport's playground against an impressive backdrop of bustling aircraft activity. The guides will explain the runway system and provide plenty of other information about Zurich Airport.

The children then board a bus for an unrivalled view of the airport. The first stop is at the intersection of runways 10/28 and 16/34, where the children disembark to watch aircraft take off and land. There are not many places where visitors are allowed this close to the action!

The bus then passes the emergency services area as well as the large building housing winter equipment. The enormous snow-clearing vehicles, up to eight metres wide, are parked here. The bus moves on to the large hangars and the Airside Center, then drives through a tunnel to Dock E. The children can ask questions throughout the bus ride. All of our tour guides have years of experience in airport operations and can answer the questions simply and clearly.

The journey ends at Dock E, where there is more to come. The birthday party will be held in the dedicated children's party room, with plenty of toys and games as well as art and craft. The birthday cake will be served – with candles and drinks – at a decorated table. The children can make their own airport badges and play to their heart's content. The Family Services team will supervise the children, organise games and serve the food and drinks.

To finish, the children take a walk and a short ride on the Skymetro back to Arrival 2.
