Fresh air prior to departure
The passenger observation decks offer travellers a chance to enjoy some fresh air before departure. Breath-taking views at the heart of flight operations will delight not only aviation fans.
Dock E passenger observation deck
Relax on passenger observation deck E before departure, a great place to enjoy some fresh air and watch the activity. The deck is situated in the middle of the three runways and offers a spectacular view of flight operations. Experience arriving and departing aircraft, mainly long-haul flights, live and up close.
The telescopes on the observation deck enable you to get an even closer view of activity on the apron. The A380 is a highlight and not only for aviation fans. Currently the world’s largest aircraft, it docks in immediate proximity to the observation deck several times a day. Play areas also make the time on the deck fun for children.

Sports Bar terrace at the Airside Center
Enjoy delicious burgers or refreshing drinks in the open air before you fly at the Sports Bar terrace in the airport's Airside Center. The new-build, which was constructed in summer 2017, makes a visual impact with its top-quality wooden decking, and is surrounded by glass railings for an impressive panoramic view. In full sunshine, three fully automatic shade sails provide UV protection. The terrace features stand-up tables, long tables and lounge elements, ensuring a view of the apron wherever you are. These were made by the traditional Zurich-based company Manufakt, which has supplied restaurants, hotels and public areas with furniture for over 30 years. The Sports Bar’s friendly service team offer a wide range of beverages and a small but delicious menu.
The Sports Bar terrace can be accessed via the Sports Bar in the left wing of the Airside Center. It’s open in good weather all year round from sunrise until sunset.
