Departing from Zurich Airport

On arriving at the airport, there are two ways you can request assistance from Goldair AAS Assistance AG:

  • Please report to one of the pick-up points in check-in hall 1, 2 or 3 two hours prior to your flight's scheduled departure time. The pick-up-points are signposted using standard pictograms and are located near the entrances to the terminals. You can either contact a member of Goldair AAS Assistance AG staff at the pick-up point or request assistance over the phone. On request, Goldair AAS Assistance AG will then assist you at the check-in and accompany you to the aircraft. 

  • Alternatively you can report directly to your airline's check-in desk (at least 90 minutes prior to your flight). 

Provided you contact your travel agent or airline in advance to request assistance, as described, and you arrive on time at the check-in or pick-up-point, you should not have to wait longer than 10 minutes. In exceptional cases there may be slightly shorter or longer waiting times owing to day-to-day operations. However, if you have placed your request in good time, we guarantee that you will reach your flight on time.

If you were unable to request assistance in advance or arrive too late at the check-in or at one of the pick-up-points on the day of departure, please note that Goldair AAS Assistance AG will do its best to get you to your flight on time but there are no guarantees.

Security checks

All passengers must pass through a security check before departure. Passengers using a wheelchair who are unable to stand will be checked separately in a security booth.

If you are carrying medication (aerosol pumps, syringes, etc.) or rely on special aids (e.g. prostheses), please have the relevant medical certificate available and notify the security staff or your airline. Please note that in some countries, very strict security regulations will apply for your return flight.

If you are using an electric wheelchair, the battery must be disconnected. If you wear a pacemaker, please inform the security staff.


Security Check

Landing at Zurich Airport

If you need assistance upon landing at Zurich Airport, please also inform your travel agency or airline when you book your flight or at least 48 hours before departing on your return flight. 

After landing in Zurich, Goldair AAS Assistance AG will pick you up from the aircraft or at the arrival gate, depending on your needs. Provided you have requested assistance, as described, you should receive assistance within 10 minutes.

On arrival, Goldair AAS Assistance AG will accompany you and help you claim your baggage. Goldair AAS Assistance AG will then accompany you to one of the drop-off-points in the arrival hall and bid you farewell. The drop-off-points are signposted using standard pictograms and have seats. You can arrange for someone to collect you from here or continue on your way to the train/bus station or to the car park via routes with disabled access.
