Zurich professional fire brigade and rescue services tour
Learn everything you ever wanted to know about the behind-the-scenes work of the emergency service teams at Zurich Airport – on this tour lasting almost three hours. Find out what their daily activities are and how building and aircraft fires are tackled. The tour begins with a demonstration of a fire engine. You will see how it can spray water while travelling at full speed. For emergencies at Zurich Airport, Zurich Protection & Rescue have special vehicles to rescue passengers as well as a special crane to tow away planes. The airport’s fire and rescue service is staffed 24 hours a day – hence there are relaxation and staff rooms on the upper floor, which you can also take a look at. What’s more, you can slide down the fireman’s pole – if you are brave enough. A professional firefighter will accompany you on your tour, expertly answering any questions you may have. One of our experienced tour guides will also be on hand from the beginning.
