Another milestone reached: 5 of 6 Circle buildings let

26.06.2020 - Three further office tenants were found over the last few weeks. Much of the office space at The Circle has already been let. The opening of the public areas is planned as of November 2020.

Zurich Airport partners adopt joint measures to ensure safe travel

28.05.2020 - With borders beginning to reopen from June onwards, a first increase is expected in air transport services and passenger numbers. The protection concept for Zurich Airport, which has been jointly devised by the airport operator and further partners such as SWISS, Swissport and the airport police, is intended to provide travellers, visitors and airport personnel with optimum protection through actions and precautions that enable and ensure safe air travel.

Flughafen Zürich AG commits to ETH spin-off for CO2 reduction

27.05.2020 - Flughafen Zürich AG aims to cut its CO2 emissions to zero net by 2050. The coronavirus has done nothing to change this plan. That is why the company has just entered into a partnership with the young high-tech enterprise Synhelion SA to support research and development work on synthetic fuels over the long term. The goal is to make these fuels available in sufficient quantities at market prices. The synthetic fuels from Synhelion's test facility will be used by Flughafen Zürich AG directly at the airport.

26.05.2020 - The airport operator today became the first tenant to move into its new headquarters in The Circle. Spanning five floors, the “Homebase” provides a modern working environment in a premium location for around 600 employees.

13.05.2020 - In April 2020, 26’913 passengers passed through Zurich Airport, corresponding to a decrease of 99.0% compared to last year. Last time in 1952, four years after the start of flight operations of Zurich Airport, the average number of passengers per month was so low.

Flughafen Zürich AG waives Dividend for 2019

16.04.2020 - The impact of the COVID-19 crisis has led to substantial revenue declines since mid March for Flughafen Zürich AG. The board of directors has thus reassessed the situation and will propose to the upcoming Annual General Meeting a complete suspension of the dividend. This includes the cancellation of the initially planned ordinary dividend of CHF 3.90 per share and the previously announced additional dividend of CHF 3.20 per share. The Annual General Meeting will be held on June 11, 2020.

Media information regarding coronavirus: construction progress of major project THE CIRCLE

16.04.2020 - Construction of the major project THE CIRCLE at Zurich Airport is progressing. Due to the current situation concerning the coronavirus, there are now fewer people working on the building site than there would be in normal circumstances, and their health is our top priority. Some suppliers are also unable to operate at present. Certain facilities will therefore be subject to around 2 or 3 months’ delay. However, the building should be completed as quickly as possible – one reason being that the University Hospital of Zurich healthcare centre aims to commence operations as soon as possible. The public facilities will be opened gradually, starting in autumn.

Zurich Airport: Financial Year 2019

10.03.2020 - Flughafen Zürich AG reported an encouraging result in 2019. In the reporting period, Flughafen Zürich AG’s revenue increased by 5.0% to CHF 1.2 billion. The airport operator posted a profit of CHF 309.1 mil-lion. Additional provisions (CHF 45.8 million after taxes) for sound insulation measures in the previous year depressed the result for 2018. When adjusted for this one-off effect, profit was lifted year-on-year by CHF 25.5 million or 9.0%.
