Zurich Airport once again voted Europe's leading airport

For the sixth year in a row Zurich Airport has won the prestigious World Travel Award for its user-friendliness and general quality standards.

Rated criteria were the airport's scope of distribution in the travel and tourism industry, i.e. communication with tour operators and travel agencies, user-friendliness, and the general quality of its products and services.

In its category Zurich Airport outperformed ten other nominated airports to be voted Europe's leading airport for the sixth consecutive time. Nominated airports in Europe were Amsterdam, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Moscow/Domodedovo, Hamburg, London/Heathrow, Rome/Leonardo da Vinci, Madrid, Munich, Paris/Charles de Gaulle and Zurich Airport.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to honour service excellence in travel and tourism and are presented by the London-based media house World Travel Awards Ltd (www.worldtravelawards.com). The rankings are the result of votes cast online by over 150,000 tourist-industry experts.
