The air space above Switzerland will re-open on Tuesday, 08:00 CEST. Passengers are advised to only come to the airport if they already have a confirmed flight ticket.

The Federal Office of Civil Aviation will prospectively re-open the air space above Switzerland on Tuesday, 08:00 CEST. The re-installation of flight operations now holds the highest priority. Therefore, passengers are advised to only come to the airport if they already have a confirmed flight ticket. All other passengers are advised to not come to the airport yet and contact their airline or travel agent for further information.

The viewing terrace on Dock E will remain closed on Tuesday.

Temporary regulations for cargo

The cargo area will remain open at Zurich Airport. However, until the suspension of air traffic ends, a ban on certain cargo goods applies. Among these cargo goods are dangerous goods, perishables, human remains (coffins), live animals and fresh produce. These items will currently not be accepted at the cargo station at Zurich Airport.
