New elements of the winter timetable

The winter timetable features an expanded route network and various frequency enhancements.

Swiss International Air Lines (LX)

Swiss is adapting its flight timetable and increasing service frequencies to selected destinations. As of 17 December, Swiss will offer two daily flights to Valencia and Belgrade on its European network. In addition, the frequency on the Stockholm route will be increased from two to three daily flights. The long-haul destinations Mumbai, Delhi and Bangkok will be served daily from now on. Beginning in February 2011, there will also be daily flights to San Francisco.

Air Berlin (AB)

Air Berlin is expanding its range of flights from Zurich and will offer the only direct connection in winter to the Spanish port of Alicante. From 5 November 2010, flights on this route will operate twice a week on Fridays and Sundays.

Blue 1 (KF)

The SAS subsidiary will offer 12 weekly connections to Helsinki instead of the current six as of 7 November.

Cimber (QI)

New airline from Zurich: The Danish airline will fly daily to Copenhagen.

Edelweiss Air (WK)

From now on, Edelweiss Air will offer three instead of two weekly flights to Marrakesh. In addition, it will serve Kilimanjaro (in combination with the current destination Mombasa and Mauritius as new destinations from November 2010 until February 2011.

Helvetic Airways (2L)

New destination: Bari, in southern Italy, has been served since 6 September. The new daily flight is coordinated with the European and intercontinental connections of codeshare partner Swiss in order to ensure smooth transfers in Zurich.

Jetisfaction (RNG)

New airline and destination from Zurich: Morning and evening flights to Münster have been operating from Monday to Friday since 27 September. These connections at the start and end of the day are particularly attractive for business travelers.

Qatar Airways (QR)

Qatar Airways is increasing the frequency of flights to Doha and will now fly daily to the capital of Qatar in the Persian Gulf.

SunExpress (XQ)

Beginning with the winter timetable, SunExpress will offer four weekly connections to Istanbul in addition to the current portfolio (Antalya and Izmir). Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

US Airways (US)

US Airways will fly to Philadelphia in the winter too and will offer five flights a week.
