Reopening of staff restaurants
The staff restaurants at Zurich Airport offer something for everyone. Following refurbishment, from 5 January 2015 the eateries run by the SV Group will have a fresh new look and an updated offering.
All staff restaurants are not only open to airport personnel, but to anyone who enjoys good food. Different menus now offer culinary variety: "Home" for the traditionally minded who like home-cooked fare, "World for cosmopolitan diners and lovers of exotic dishes, plus "Chef's Choice" for the more adventurous. Seasonal produce and culinary experience weeks throughout the year will inject variety.
All restaurants also offer a take-away service. The practical web shop with butler is available for outside catering.
The restaurant at gate 130 of Flughafen Zürich AG headquarters is being remodelled and, in addition to a hot & cold buffet, will also feature a new lounge for relaxing and unwinding.
The Wärchhöfli will launch on 5 January 2015, and will be open Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cafeteria in Operation Center 1
The cafeteria supplies snacks and drinks to flight crews and other personnel working in the building. Freshly brewed coffee from the Cimbali espresso machine is the perfect start to the day or an after-lunch pick-me-up.
The cafeteria will open its doors on 30 December 2014, and will operate from Monday to Sunday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day.
The waiter-service "1291 – authentic Swiss cuisine" section serves classic Swiss dishes with a modern twist. It is also the ideal venue for smaller scale events and banquets. The spring of 2015 will bring a touch of Italianità when the old "Take Off" is transformed into "Little Italy" serving home-made pasta and pizza. Those who can't wait that long will already be able to savour delicious Italian specialities before then.
The two table-service restaurant sections will operate Mondays to Fridays from 11.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. They will open on 5 January 2015.
The opening hours for the self-service section will continue to be 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. It will open on 1 January 2015.
