Change of name for the day rooms at Zurich Airport.
Passengers with a lengthy layover, an onward flight the following day or an early morning departure have been able to make use of the day rooms at Zurich Airport for 60 years. These have been located in the Gates B/D zone (non-Schengen) for the past five years.
Flughafen Zürich AG, the operator of the day rooms, has decided to change the name to TRANSIT HOTEL from June 2014. Its location and opening hours remain unchanged, but the price structure has been adjusted slightly.
Single, double and triple rooms are available, as well as reclining seats in a protected, quiet zone. These are available to passengers around the clock on 365 days of the year, and can be rented for a day, a night, or even by the hour. The rooms are equipped with the essentials, and are simply furnished with a washbasin, TV set, coffee/tea-making facilities and free WiFi for the entire duration of the guest's stay. Showers and WCs are located in the immediate vicinity of the rooms. The view of the airfield is even more spectacular when you can admire the aircraft close up from your bed!
The hotel team also provides a first-class service. In addition to waking passengers at the right time, staff provide reliable information and ensure a pleasant stay all round. Towels, soap, shampoo, hairdryers and various bodycare items are also included in the price.
If you need a room, it is advisable to book in advance. Either phone +41 (0)43 816 21 08 or send an E-mail to email@example.com. Passengers can also find all the necessary information on Zurich Airport's website.
