The University Hospital Zurich will operate a health centre on an area of 10’000 square meters in “The Circle”. Therewith another milestone has been reached after having secured the financing of this major construction project.
The University Hospital Zurich is planning to operate a university health centre on an area of 10’000 square meters with a 24 hours emergency station and different further ambulant or short-term in-patient services. This marks another important milestone after having secured the financing of “The Circle” last December. The University Hospital Zurich is the second anchor tenant after the international Hotel group Hyatt, which will operate two hotels with 550 rooms and a convention centre for up to 2’300 people in “The Circle”. The modules Health & Beauty and Hotels & Convention are completely let now.
With the University Hospital Zurich an ideal partner has been attracted for “The Circle”. The excellent reputation and the high quality medical services complete and stimulate further integrated offerings such as the campus for training and further education courses and the convention centre.
About “The Circle”
“The Circle” will be a destination in itself at Zurich airport. Just steps away from the terminal buildings, the new, architecturally striking complex will buzz with life and services. With all the bustle of an international trading centre, from 2018 it will become a focal point for business and lifestyle. Total investment in “The Circle” will amount to about CHF 1 billion. The financing provides a joint co-ownership structure, with Flughafen Zürich AG holding a 51% stake, and Swiss Life AG 49%. The first phase of “The Circle” is planned to open in 2018 while the first units are due to be handed over to tenants at the end of 2017.
