Zurich Airport News Flash No. 16 / Patrick Candrian new CCO
Patrick Candrian becomes the new Chief Commercial Officer of Flughafen Zürich AG at the beginning of 2015. He succeeds Stephan Widrig, who will manage the company as Chief Executive Officer as per 1st of January 2015.
Patrick Candrian, 42 years old, is member of the management board of Candrian Catering AG since 2004 and is currently responsible for the gastronomic business at Zurich’s main railway station. Previously he has worked in the United States and for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Patrick Candrian has studied economics at the University of Zurich and holds a master’s degree in hospitality from the Cornell University in New York. He is married and father of two children.
As Chief Commercial Officer of Flughafen Zürich AG, Patrick Candrian will be in charge of the non-aviation activities of the company. He will take over the division from Stephan Widrig, who has been appointed as the new CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG as per 1st of January 2015 (see News Flash No. 12/2014). Patrick Candrian has a broad know-how in business administration und knows perfectly well the interaction between a transport hub and commercial business from his previous professional experience.
