Swatch Loves Art – AirPainting at Zurich Airport
Zurich Airport will be turned into an artist's studio and anyone who wants to can get creative.
The Swiss watchmaking company Swatch has been working together with artists for over 30 years. The result is the world's largest art gallery for the wrist. Swatch loves art, no question about it. At Zurich Airport the watchmaker has found a partner for its latest campaign who will create the perfect backdrop to its love of light and airy design.
Until 27 September 2015, the "Swatch Loves Art – Zurich AirPainting" event will turn Zurich Airport into an artist's workshop and offer passengers a highly inspiring setting in which art can be experienced from all perspectives: as a casual observer, an observer of the creative process or as an actual artist.
Stephen Dean will install one of his extraordinary works of dichroic glass, aluminium and light. Anyone who feels the creative urge can immortalise a work on a large canvas in various "Swatch areas" throughout the passenger zone. And it will also be possible to follow the creative process of selected young Swiss artists live. One of them will win the "Swatch Award". And everyone who votes on the paintings via social media has a chance to win a watch from the new "Grüezi All!" collection.
You'll also find a selection of the newest Swatch watches from the current collection in the Swatch pop-up store in the midst of the Airport Center. Stop by and be inspired.
