Chinese New Year 2015
During their new year celebrations, the Chinese affirm their hopes for the future – the ASIA Restaurant invites you to celebrate the new year from 19 to 25 February.
2015 is the year of the wood goat. In China, the goat is said to bring peace and create harmony. It is therefore a lover of fairness, as the Chinese believe this is the only way to achieve true peace. The goat also represents gentleness, love, cooperation and helpfulness.
But the celebrations are not limited to East Asia – guests at the ASIA Restaurant can also experience this most important Chinese holiday. A wide range of culinary specialities such as vegetarian spring rolls, a tasty ginger soup with vegetable dumplings and pak choi will be served to welcome in the new year. As well as crispy red snapper fillets on house-made soy sauce, guests can also enjoy delicious, wok-fried prawns served with bamboo shoots, garlic chives and carrots. Of course, there is also the traditional duck in sweet-and-sour sauce. To finish your meal in style, the ASIA Restaurant has a fresh fruit salad with kumquats, grapefruit and orange.
The ASIA team looks forward to toasting the year of the wood goat with you. With a little luck you could win a culinary prize.
