2017 General Meeting of Shareholders of Flughafen Zürich AG

At today’s General Meeting of Shareholders of Flughafen Zürich AG, all the points on the agenda were approved in line with the proposals of the Board of Directors. The 2016 financial statements include a profit of CHF 248.0 million. The General Meeting of Shareholders agreed on a dividend of CHF 3.20 per share. An additional dividend of CHF 3.20 per share was also approved. Josef Felder and Stephan Gemkow were elected as new members of the Board of Directors and the members standing for re-election were voted in for a further term of one year.

The 2017 General Meeting of Shareholders of Flughafen Zürich AG focused on the 2016 financial statements, developments in the current business year and the political environment for the further development of Zurich Airport. As in the previous year, the annual results were influenced by various one-off effects, without which profit amounted to CHF 239.5 million. The General Meeting of Shareholders approved the proposed ordinary dividend of CHF 3.20 per share and an additional dividend of CHF 3.20 per share, to be paid out of capital contribution reserves.

Changes on the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors thanked Kaspar Schiller, who is standing down for age-related reasons, and Ulrik Svensson, who had already resigned from the Board of Directors at the end of 2016. Josef Felder and Stephan Gemkow were elected as new members of the Board of Directors. The current members standing for re-election Corine Mauch, Guglielmo Brentel and Andreas Schmid (Chairman) were voted in for a further term of one year.

The representatives of the Canton mandated to sit on the Board of Directors are the Head of Zurich's Department of Economic Affairs, Carmen Walker-Späh, Eveline Saupper (holder of a PhD in law) and Vincent Albers. The representatives of the Canton of Zurich on the Board of Directors of Flughafen Zürich AG are not elected by the General Meeting of Shareholders but delegated by the Government Council of the Canton of Zurich.
